I envisioned Rooted and Rising Preschool as an opportunity for growth, both within our community and home.
My biggest inspiration comes from my own children. My experience in parenting aligned in what I envisioned as an educator.

For the past 14 years, I have ventured far and wide learning numerous strategies, approaches, and curriculum to fit the needs of each child and/or classroom. What I was left feeling was how children could benefit from less. Much less.

In the early years of childhood, as well as with school-age children, it is magical how uninterrupted play allows children to move from simple exploration to deep engagement, with minimal guidance. When children are not rushed from one activity to another, they develop executive functioning, independence, better focus, and creativity.

At Rooted and Rising Preschool, we combine the exploration of outdoors, application of life skills, expansion of prior knowledge, and foundation of social-emotional development.
