Frequently Asked Questions
-What does a typical day look like in Rooted and Rising Preschool?
Upon arrival, children will transition through a warm-up. Typically a "soft-landing" approach with independent sensory bins, gentle gross motor movement, and child-led play during drop-off. From there, we have our morning meeting to set the tone and introduce our theme. We engage and explore outdoors with various awareness-based activities.
-What training do the facilitators have?
We are CPR/First Aid certified, aligned with Colorado requirements of ECE.
-How many teachers and children are there?
Caitlyn is the primary educator with a ratio of 1:6. The small group further promotes the feeling of home and allows me to provide each child with an individualized approach.
-What should my child wear to an outdoor school?
We believe there is no such thing as bad weather, simply bad clothing! We will have extra coats, gloves, boots, etc. available for children. Please be sure to check the weather (I will send reminders) and send your child with seasonal clothing. Another option is to keep clothing or gear for your child here at our school.
-Are you a licensed preschool and can the UPK Program be applied?
Nearly there! Once my licensure is complete, I anticipate to accept UPK Enrollment for the 2026-2027 year.
